Pray.

I am a historian, because I actively read, teach, question, and engage with history on a daily basis.

I am a theologian, because I actively read, question, and try to understand Christian theology on a daily basis.

I am a husband, because I engage, communicate, and love my wife on a daily basis.

Many of the titles that we hold in life require daily engagement. Shouldn’t our Christian walk be a daily occurrence? 1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18 says, “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

Take time and give thanks to the Lord today. Give thanks for the beauty of His creation. Give thanks for His provision. Give thanks for His grace. Give thanks that His ways are not our ways.

We have an amazing opportunity to boldly approach the throne of God in confidence (Heb. 4:16). Let us approach with prayer and supplication.

Take time and pray today.

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” Romans 12:12
